ASAR is happy to have authored an article in the International Bar Association (IBA) Banking Law Committee’s e-bulletin.

Partner, Ibrahim Sattout and Associate, Hussein M. Azmy have provided an overview of recent regulatory developments in the areas of digital banking and capital markets in Kuwait, with emphasis on Fintech and novel tradeable debt instruments, including green, sustainable and social impact bonds and sukuk. The article also examines the electronic payment regulation and the regulatory sandbox framework, which aims to provide alternative path for the licensing of innovative Fintech and e-payment products and services in Kuwait.
