ASAR – Al Ruwayeh and Partners (ASAR) is pleased to announce that it has for the 5th consecutive year been awarded the prestigious ‘National Law Firm of the Year Award’ for 2013 presented by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR), the leading market guide for financial law firms worldwide. In addition, ASAR was also awarded the ‘Restructuring Deal of the Year Award’ for 2013 where ASAR acted as Kuwait local counsel in the completion of the refinancing of the US$ 1 billion Trust Certificates (Sukuk-al-Mudarabah) issued by Dana Gas Sukuk Limited in May 2013.
The awards ceremony was held at the Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai on 23 October 2013 and was attended by partners and representatives from other leading GCC and international law firms.
ASAR was also nominated for its role as legal advisor in other outstanding deals of the year, namely TMK’s acquisition of controlling stake in Gulf International Pipe Industry and in the restructuring program of one of Kuwait’s largest investment houses, Global Investment House.
