ASAR is pleased to announce that it will be hosting ‘ASAR Seminar 2023 – Bahrain’ themed ‘Bahrain Clear: A Modernized Share Registry, and Understanding your Governance Obligations’ on 13 February 2023 at the Royal Golf Club, Bahrain.

ASAR Seminar 2023 – Bahrain will explain the processes associated with the new share registry, ‘Bahrain Clear’ and help management navigate the shifting corporate governance obligations of closely held companies.

The seminar’s keynote speaker Steven Brown, will be discussing the rationale and benefits associated with the new efficient registry approach to joint stock companies and what businesses can expect when interacting with Bahrain Clear in relation to the various corporate actions of joint stock companies. Sherif Saad Eldin will also be providing clarity on the recent amendments to the Corporate Governance Code in order for businesses to understand what provisions are considered ‘mandatory’ versus ‘voluntary’ and allow them to adjust their corporate governance policies accordingly to comply with the recent changes.

The ASAR Seminar 2023- Bahrain will also welcome senior representatives from Bahrain Clear, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) and SICO to discuss the implementation of the new share registry platform at the panel discussion.
