Mohammad Abulwafa is a Partner at ASAR and re-joined the firm in February 2016. He previously worked with the firm for approximately seven years commencing from January 2006. Mohammad currently practices in the areas of Corporate Law and Regulatory Law. Mohammad completed his L.L.B. in 1989 from Ain Shams University, Egypt, and is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm, Mohammad served as an in-house legal counsel to a leading Kuwaiti group of industries and a leading Kuwaiti Bank. He has significant practical and legal experience in Kuwait, in corporate, banking, regulatory and other fields. Mohammad’s practice languages are English and Arabic.
2015 / 2016 Highlights
- Currently advising various foreign corporates on the set up of a local presence in Kuwait, including structuring advice on the implementation of various arrangements to address Kuwait’s foreign ownership restrictions.
