Ahmed Abdou is a Senior Associate with ASAR and has been with the firm since January 2013. Ahmed practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, mergers & acquisitions, agency, distributorship & franchising and employment law. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) awarded by Alexandria University, Egypt in 2003. Ahmed was admitted to the Egyptian bar in 2003. Ahmed’s practice languages are English and Arabic.

Agency / Distributorship
- Advising foreign clients in their establishment of agency or distributorship relationships with local individuals or entities to enable them to achieve their business goals, while mitigating their legal exposure when entering into and terminating agency or distributor relationships.
- Currently advising various foreign corporates in relation to their set up of a local presence in Kuwait, including structuring advice concerning the implementation of various arrangements to adddress Kuwait’s foreign ownership restrictions.
- Advising and assisting businesses to establish franchise arrangements, in both single and multi-territory arrangements, and advising on appropriate and practical solutions to mitigate a franchisor or franchisee’s exposure to legal roadblocks
Restructuring and Insolvency
- Currently advising Kuwait Pipe Industries and Oil Services Company, with the restructuring of its debts amounting to approximately USD 405 million.
