ASAR is pleased to announce that Ibrahim Sattout has become a partner at the International Section of the Firm with effect from January 1, 2010.
Ibrahim’s practice covers banking and finance, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, commercial and corporate law, international transactions and international arbitration.
Ibrahim’s most recent major involvements include providing advice to the creditors’ committee in respect of the restructuring of a Kuwaiti company’s multi-billion dollar debt, advising a Kuwaiti company in connection with the merger of its two subsidiaries listed respectively in Kuwait and in another GCC country, advising a Kuwaiti company in connection with the merger of one of its unlisted subsidiaries, advising purchasers in respect of numerous multi-million dollar acquisition deals, acting as counsel for the lenders in relation to a syndicated Ijara facility, and advising a Kuwaiti bank on legal issues relating to a first ever disputed derivative transaction in Kuwait.
